I'm a passionate educator and community builder, and dedicated my career to fostering connections and learning. With a background in teaching and a love for games, I discovered American Mahjong as a perfect blend of strategy and social interaction. My journey began in the classroom, where I honed my skills in creating engaging learning experiences. Inspired by the camaraderie and challenge of American Mahjong, I founded Mahj with McMillan to share this joy with others. My innovative approach combines traditional gameplay with modern social elements, making American Mahjong accessible and enjoyable for all.

The Spark
It started with a phone matching game I thought was Mahjong. I made up names for the tiles—Pizza Hut, car window, marbles—and had no clue it wasn’t the real thing!

The Learning Curve
Four friends decided to learn Mahjong together. We stumbled through the rules but found something we’d been missing—connection, laughter, and tiles that told a story.

The circle kept growing. Friends wanted to learn, and teaching came naturally—blending my love of Mahjong with my lifelong passion for helping others grow.
